ABOUT UNITE

Dale started his career with Vidal Sassoon in London as an apprentice at the age of 16. After three years of an apprenticeship he became a stylist at the age of 19, moving from the Bond Street salon to Sloan Street in Knightsbridge.
At the age of 21 Vidal Sassoon’s asked him to move to America. So in 1983 Dale moved to Los Angeles where he started teaching in the Los Angeles Academy in Santa Monica and working on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills at the Vidal Sassoon Salon. While working in the salon on Rodeo Drive he built a strong celebrity clientele.
After working for Vidal Sassoon’s for 10 years he had the passion to open his own salon. In 1987 Dale opened his first salon in Los Angeles and eventually built four more salons, ending up with four commission salons with about 80 stylists and 1 booth rental salon with about 22 stylists. He kept up his passion for teaching by working for numerous product companies on their educational videos and shows throughout the country.
In 2004 he knew it was time to start his own product line, taking everything from his past history and putting it into a brand that he believe was needed in the professional hair care industry, a brand that really connected its philosophy with fashion. He wanted to create a product line that had three strong elements. The first being integrity in the ingredients of the products. The second being quality in all areas of education and the third being premium in it’s positioning and performance. After 6 year of development and research UNITE has fully achieved these three goals.
We believe our rewards program for education and back bar support is the best in the industry. The integrity of our NEW Shampoos and Conditioners without sulfates, parabens, DEA, MEA, Sodium Chloride and Gluten Free, once again, we believe, are the best on the market today. As a young creative company we will be striving to create new innovative products that make life easier for the stylist and the client. The key elements that has helped UNITE fulfill its passion is being selective in where we place the line, and also being very firm on no beauty supplies and no discount chain salons. So when a stylist turns his client on to UNITE, that client will be coming back to them to replenish their home care needs.
UNITE is a line made by a hairdresser for hairdressers.
What does the future hold for UNITE?
UNITE already has and Academy for advanced education in San Diego and in Holland and will be branching into Canada and Great Britain later this year. One of the goals we have is to open an Academy with Advanced Education in London. We also have been working with designers like Dian von Furstenberg, sponsoring Gen Art, and working backstage during Fashion Weeks. We look to partner with the fashion industry in many ways throughout the world in the future.
